Semadar Megged
With over 16 years designing children’s books at various imprints of what is now Penguin Random House, Semadar joined Philomel in 2000 and worked as art director and designer exclusively with Editorial Director Patricia Lee Gauch for the next ten years. Together they collaborated on books by best-selling and award-winning illustrators (Caldecott Medal, The New York Times Best Sellers List and Best Illustrated Children's Books, The New York Book Show and Society of Illustrators’ Original Art Show) including Ed Young, David Small, Loren Long, Nancy Carpenter, Will Hillenbrand, Patricia Polacco and many more.
When Patti retired Semedar remained at Philomel as the imprint's art director for additional six years.
Currently Semedar worke as a freelancer with trade publishing houses and with independently published authors and illustrators.
