Whale Rock Scholarships 2025

We are currently offering scholarships for our single-session, two-session, and four-to-six-week programs.

We encourage you to look into whether your state or province offers grants for the arts. We’ve had students participate in our mentorship with grants from the Canadian federal and provincial programs in addition to US state grants for the arts. We are happy to supply any documentation you need for submission.

Please note: you will only qualify for a scholarship if you are writing children’s literature (picture books, middle grade books, and young adult.) We will not respond to inquiries from authors writing adult fiction or nonfiction. Please submit a writing sample as well as a short paragraph sharing why you need financial aid. Priority will be given to underrepresented authors. You may be asked to submit proof of need.
